On November 7th Deep River voters elected me to serve on the Board of Selectmen.  I am thrilled  to be chosen to serve, and  I  will continue to put Deep River first in all my actions and decisions.  As your new Selectwoman, I am committed to showing Deep River residents the respect and consideration they deserve in our interactions and when determining how to spend their hard-earned tax dollars.

The energy generated during the campaign was significant.  Over 500 more voters showed up to vote than had come to vote the last time the First Selectman position was contested.  Only a 27-vote differential  determined the final outcome.

I will not let down the 847 people who thought I would have been the more effective municipal leader, and I will work diligently and consistently  to meet the needs of every Deep River resident.

I treasure the conversations I had when door knocking and during my “Coffee With Katie” events during the campaign, and look forward to having many more wonderful conversations.
