Registering to Vote

Your participation begins by registering to vote. Whether you are new to Town, registering for the first time, or changing your party preference, we encourage you to register and vote.

You can register online, or download the PDF and drop it off at the Registrar of Voters’ Office at the Deep River Town Hall, or mail to:  Town Clerk, Deep River Town Hall, 174 Main Street, Deep River, CT 06417

In Deep River all election day voting takes place at the Deep River Public Library, 150 Main Street, in the Community Room.  

 

Exercise Your Right To Vote

 

Voting is now more convenient than ever before. Most people still choose to cast their ballots on Election Day.  In Deep River all election day voting takes place at the Deep River Public Library, 150 Main Street in the Community Room.  Polls are open from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Remember to bring a photo ID even if “everyone in town knows who you are."

If you need a ride to the polls on Election Day or any other assistance, please contact us and we’ll do whatever we can to assist.

 

Obtain an Absentee Ballot

 

If you can’t make it to the Deep River Public Library on Election Day, you can still vote by absentee ballot.

  • Before obtaining an absentee ballot, you must first complete Form ED-3 which is available in English and in Spanish on the Ct.gov website.

  • Alternatively, Form ED-3 can be obtained in person at the Town Clerk’s OfficeOnce completed, returned to the Town Clerk’s Office, or mail to the following address:   Town Clerk, Deep River Town Hall, 174 Main Street, Deep River, CT 06417.
